Volunteering in the shop - How can you help?
Online Sales Specialist (eBay & Facebook Marketplace)
Farcycles is dedicated to refurbishing and rehoming preloved bikes. While most of our bikes find new riders locally, we often receive more specialist bikes, components, and accessories that deserve a broader audience.
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic volunteer online sales specialist to help us list and manage sales through platforms like eBay and Facebook Marketplace. If you have experience selling online, enjoy engaging with buyers, and want to contribute your skills to a great cause, we’d love to hear from you.
What you'll do:
Photograph and describe specialist bikes, parts, and accessories for online listings
Manage listings, respond to buyer questions, and handle dispatch logistics
Help us raise valuable funds to support our local cycling initiatives and charity work
What we’re looking for:
Experience with eBay and/or Facebook Marketplace (essential)
An eye for detail and an interest in online selling
A proactive, trustworthy person with a few hours to spare each week
Someone committed to making a difference in their local community
What you’ll gain:
A chance to use your skills for a positive impact
Flexible hours and the support of a friendly team
Valuable experience in e-commerce and social enterprise

Bike Mechanic (Qualified or Experienced)

We’re especially looking for volunteers to cover three-hour shifts on Thursdays and Saturdays. Whether you’re professionally trained or have strong practical experience, your expertise could make a real difference.
What you'll do:
Repair and service donated bikes for resale
Carry out basic service work for customer bikes
Help mentor less experienced volunteers (if comfortable doing so)
Support our mission to promote cycling and sustainability
You should have:
